Candy’s Dance Stars Prepare for Age Well Festival

On 28 May 2025 at the Goan Centre, we collaborated with Candy's Dance Stars to host  a cowboy hat decorating session in preparation for their upcoming performance at the Age Well Festival later this year. 

Participants were provided with cowboy hats donated by TRAID. Each individual selected a hat and decorated it with a variety of colourful materials, including feathers, fluff, jewels, and tassels. The result was a collection of unique hats that reflected the personalities of the dance group. 

Following the decorating session, the dancers rehearsed their routines while wearing their newly customised hats. These hats, along with bright red t-shirts, will be part of their official performance attire for the Age Well Festiva. 

One participant commented on the benefits of the activity, saying, “The group is so enjoyable and friendly. The exercise is light but very effective for easing stiff joints.” 

Notably, two dancers in their 90s participated with great enthusiasm and demonstrated remarkable energy during the session, embodying the festival’s celebration of active and positive ageing.
