About this event

Every year, millions of people across the world take part in Loneliness Awareness Week (15–21 June).

Whether its starting a conversation, fundraising, sharing the campaign on socials, or hosting an activity or an event - the week is about reducing the stigma surrounding loneliness and increasing opportunities for meaningful connection.

Haringey Reach and Connect have partnered with the British Red Cross to bring local residents and professionals an opportunity to learn about loneliness and the importance of social connection.

This two-hour workshop teaches you how to support people who feel lonely and help them build positive connections to improve their wellbeing.

During this interactive workshop, you’ll:

  • learn how to spot the signs of loneliness
  • identify the barriers and benefits to forming connections
  • explore ways to help people deal with loneliness
  • build your confidence to help others manage loneliness
  • share your learnings to help improve connections in your community.
