Loneliness Awareness Week 2024 Launch and Awards

Loneliness Awareness Week 2024 is being launched with awards for volunteers who build social connection

On Friday 7th June, The Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Sue Jameson, will present volunteers who build social connection for people age 50+ in Haringey, with a LAW 24 Award.

Recipients include:

  • Shared Reading Hosts
  • Haringey Walk Leaders
  • Tottenham Talking Peer Support Teams
  • SGV Cancer Volunteers
  • Artful Codgers Artists
  • Salvation Army Seniors Programme
  • Lordship Hub Coffee Morning
  • Supported Housing Hub Hosts

The Event will also launch a week of activities that promote social connection and reduce the stigma around Loneliness.
